KEMA Consulting to Provide HVDC Engineering for TenneT’s Offshore Grid Expansion

With a contract value of up to €7 million, KEMA Consultingwill support TenneT’s offshore grid expansion in the Netherlands.  This agreement is key to connecting offshorewind farms to the national grid, advancing sustainable energy solutions.

KEMA will provide engineering support for high-voltagedirect current (HVDC) converter stations, with a focus on System Studies &Testing for safety and reliability, and Design & Installation of necessaryonshore and offshore infrastructure. This agreement is part of TenneT’s plan toconnect multiple offshore wind farms by 2031, boosting Europe’s renewableenergy supply.

KEMA Consulting has a strong track record, including networkcongestion solutions using GRARE, a tool developed for Terna, Italy’stransmission system operator.

With this agreement, CESI Group, through KEMA, solidifiesits role in the energy transition, driving the development of clean,sustainable energy grids for the future.
